Aug 7, 2008 - for some people they hurt, for others they don't. It was a little uncomfortable getting them in and then like 2 hours later they started aching, then only the right side hurt.

Dec 3, 2008 - haha this reminds me of when i got my 4 wisdom teeth removed(they only needed 2 pull 1 but if the pull 1 the have to pull all the corresponding teeth) and i also had 2 get stitches...which feels like metal somehow:S...well now their gone and im gona get my braces 2moro...wish me luck:D

Dec 5, 2008 - no for some people, the thing that causes the gap is a little piece of gum and u need it surgically removed if you don't want a gap

Dec 21, 2008 - you don't feel a thing during the surgery, you're completely out of it and won't remember a thing. Afterwards, ya it hurts, I'm not going to lie. It hurts a lot, but it gets better as you heal (I was almost completely back to normal after a few days) and you'll probably be given prescription strength pain killers which'll help (I didn't like them because they gave me weird dreams)

Jan 6, 2009 - dentist told me i needed surgery on my jaw and chin, which cost about 10 grand plus a year of braces, another 5 grand, but then i went to a different ortho, and said all i needed was 2 years in braces... so im happy, cuz i wouldnt want them taking a chunck out of my jaw and chin.!
